About Us

Founded in 1972, SPS Brassware began trading as SPS Polishing, starting with metal polishing and hand spray lacquering. Over the years we have expanded our services from only metal polishing to include auto polishing, other types of strong metal finishing such as electrophoretic lacquering, assembly and presswork. The expansion led to our move to our 50 000 square foot premises. 

In the early 90’s, we expanded on our services and began manufacturing door furniture. We then expanded the range to include electrical switch plates, hence the change of name to SPS Brassware Ltd. In 2022 we became a member of The Cool Blue Group family of businesses. 

These days, SPS manufacture door hardware, cabinet hardware, electrical switch plates, window fittings, doorstops and hooks. For more details on our products, please see our products page. 

As well as manufacturing we do sub-contract metal finishing. Between our team, experienced in metal polishing and our auto-polishing machine, we can polish any item ranging from metal modular plates to door plates to beer pumps, from large flat sheets to water fittings - polishing and metal. 

We also have a fully automatic cleaning system and an automatic electrophoretic lacquering plant which includes di-chromate, to ensure the highest quality of metal finishing possible. Our lacquering plant can either apply a clear lacquer or a gold coloured lacquer on metals such as zinc, aluminium etc. 

As we do most of our own manufacturing, metal finishing and metal polishing so we are able to produce ranges exclusive to individual customers.
